The Palais Léon Mba — the building that houses Gabon's National Assembly — is a sober mid-century modernist block on the waterfront, named for the country's first president. You cannot go inside without a parliamentary connection, but the exterior is one of the best examples of Libreville's tropical modernism and worth a slow walk past.
