Lake Bogoria Viewpoint is one of the straightforward roadside stops for taking in the eastern shore. It is not elaborate, but the angle gives a good sense of the lake's long, narrow shape and the stark Rift Valley setting.
Use it as a pause between the hotter geothermal stops and the longer drive along the reserve. In clear weather, the layered hills and lake surface make strong photographs without much effort.
