Maji Moto means "hot water" in Swahili, and the name is common across East Africa wherever geothermal water reaches the surface. The Bogoria area has several such springs and vents, some obvious and some less visitor-friendly.
Only go where access is clear and local advice says it is safe. The geothermal ground around Bogoria is active, and the more obscure springs are not necessarily maintained as tourist sites.
