Casablanca is a working city, not a tourist one — the great Hassan II Mosque aside, a half-day covers most of what most visitors want to see. Walk Boulevard Mohammed V for the weathered French-era Mauresque buildings; dip into the Old Medina for a small, rough version of what Fes and Marrakesh do better; then head out to Ain Diab for the beach and the seafood restaurants along the Corniche.
