Getting Around

Chaouen is small — fewer than 40,000 people — and the medina is entirely walkable. The streets curve and twist, so finding a specific address can be a puzzle, but the whole old town fits inside a fifteen-minute walk and you can't get seriously lost. Outside the medina, petit taxis handle the few longer runs (to the bus station, up to the Spanish mosque viewpoint). There is no useful public transport.
