Eating Out

Errachidia is a working town, not a culinary destination, but there are several reliable places to eat along Avenue Mohammed V and around the central square. The standard offering is tagine (lamb or chicken with prunes or olives), harira soup, and grilled brochettes. Portions are generous and prices are well below what you would pay in Fes or Marrakech.

The covered market area has the most animated lunch spots, busy with locals and truck drivers passing through on the N13. Most restaurants are licensed to serve soft drinks only; alcohol is not widely available in this conservative southeastern town.
