A small square in the heart of the souks given over to spice and herb merchants, with cones of cumin, paprika, ginger, ras-el-hanout, and indigo dye piled up at the storefronts. A few of the stalls are also traditional Berber pharmacies selling ostrich eggs, dried lizards, and other remedies of questionable efficacy.
Sit at one of the rooftop cafés overlooking the square (Cafe des Épices is the best known) for a clear view of the trade going on below.
