Alcohol is available in Rabat, mainly in hotel bars and a handful of licensed establishments in the Ville Nouvelle. For non-alcoholic socialising, the Café Maure inside the Kasbah des Oudaya is the best option in town — mint tea on a terrace above the Bou Regreg. Avenue Mohammed V has several street-level cafes good for coffee and people-watching.
