LAM, the Mozambican national airline, flies to Beira from Maputo. The flight takes about an hour and is the easiest way to reach the city from the south.
By road, Beira is reachable from Zimbabwe via the Beira Corridor — a long drive on roads that are functional but demanding. Travel by day only; road conditions and safety at night make after-dark driving inadvisable.
Rail and sea connections serve the port, primarily for freight, though the train link to Zimbabwe has historically carried some passengers as well.
