Founded in 1951, this is the largest privately run museum in Namibia. Housed in the old customs building below the lighthouse at the Mole (Palm Beach), it covers geology, zoology, archaeology, and the region's colonial and Namibian history. The natural history exhibits — including a large collection of Namib Desert specimens — are particularly good. Allow an hour or two.
