A cargo vessel that ran aground in 2008 a few kilometres north of Swakopmund. What makes it worth seeking out is the surreal setting: the rusting hull sits stranded at the edge of the surf, with the Namib dunes rising directly behind it and the Skeleton Coast stretching north. Most tour operators include it as a stop on desert or coastal excursions, or you can drive out independently on the C34 coast road. Go at low tide for the best access and photographs.
