uMhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve protects lagoons, coastal forest, beach, and an Iron Age shell midden at the north end of uMhlanga. Trails and boardwalks make it a good place for birdwatching, a quiet walk, and a break from the busier beachfront.
It pairs naturally with Bronze Beach and the uMhlanga lighthouse area.
