Standard Bank Gallery is a corporate art gallery in central Johannesburg, with rotating exhibitions of South African and international work. The programme changes, so the value of a visit depends on what is showing, but exhibitions are usually professionally mounted and the gallery adds a useful art stop to the inner-city circuit.
It is most convenient when combined with Newtown, the Market Theatre, or Johannesburg Art Gallery. Check current opening hours and the exhibition schedule before making a special trip.
