Getting There

Lobamba sits on the MR3 road through the Ezulwini Valley, about 15 kilometres south of Mbabane and roughly 30 kilometres north of Manzini. The valley road is well-maintained and most of its length is fast driving. There is no public transport directly to Lobamba; minibus taxis run along the valley but stop irregularly and may not stop near the main sights.

The most practical way to visit is by car or minibus taxi from Mbabane, where most visitors to Eswatini stay. The drive takes about 20 minutes on the MR3. The National Museum and Parliament building are signposted from the road; Ludzidzini Royal Village is a further few kilometres south. Most visitors combine Lobamba with stops at other Ezulwini Valley attractions — Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary and the craft markets — in a single day out from Mbabane.
