Dodoma is a low-key capital. The sights are scattered, the pace is slow, and most travellers pass through rather than linger. But the city has a handful of genuine points of interest: the Gaddafi Mosque, the parliament building, the cathedral, the wineries of the central plateau, and the dramatic granite kopjes that ring the town.
