Tanga is a slow town and the sights match that pace. A walk through the colonial-era streets, an hour at the Tanga Yacht Club for a sundowner, a half-day at the Amboni Caves outside town, and a longer trip out to the Tongoni Ruins down the coast covers the city's headline attractions. Boat trips into the bay to Toten Island (Tanga Island) are an obvious add-on.
