The whole reason to come to Tamberma is the takienta — the unique two-storey mud-and-thatch tower-houses of the Batammariba people, scattered across the Koutammakou cultural landscape. A guided village tour is the central experience; from a base in Kande or Nadoba you can also visit smaller hamlets, see the local markets, and walk through the millet fields.
