Laboni beach, fronting the town centre, is the busiest and most commercial stretch — souvenir stalls, food vendors, and large holiday crowds on weekends and Bangladeshi public holidays. Himchari, 18 km south, is scenic and quieter, with a small seasonal waterfall dropping through forest to the shore. Inani beach (also called Enani), 35 km south, is the most attractive: dark sand mixed with coral fragments and rock boulders, far fewer people, and clear water. A beach jeep runs the coastal track between Cox's Bazar town and Inani. The best light on the water is at sunrise and sunset.
