Horse Head Rock is a quieter scenic area in Wuyishan, with tea fields, rock formations, an old temple, and rural buildings along a walking route between the Da Hong Pao area and Tianyou Peak. The path is longer than the main bus-stop sights, but it rewards the detour with a less crowded look at the mountain landscape.
