Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport is the main entry point for international and domestic flights, served by all major Chinese carriers and a growing number of international routes. The airport is in Bao'an District, about an hour from the Futian CBD by metro (Airport East station on Line 11, then transfer). The express Airport Metro (Line 11) makes the journey direct and straightforward.
From Hong Kong, crossing by land is fast and popular. The Lo Wu and Futian border crossings are accessible by MTR from Hong Kong; the Lok Ma Chau crossing is less central but often shorter queues. The high-speed rail from West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong reaches Futian station in 14 minutes — the fastest land border crossing in the world.
Guangzhou, the nearest major city, is 30 minutes away by high-speed rail from Futian station. Bus and coach services connect Shenzhen to cities throughout Guangdong province and beyond. Shekou ferry terminal offers boat services to Hong Kong International Airport, Tsim Sha Tsui, and Guangzhou, which can be a more direct option if you're arriving from or heading to those points.
