West Hill Park is one of Guilin's older scenic parks, built around low karst hills west of the city centre. It is less famous than Seven Star Park or Elephant Trunk Hill, but it has the same Guilin ingredients in a quieter package: limestone slopes, pockets of cave, old Buddhist associations, and views that open suddenly from the greenery.
The park works well when you want a slower half-day rather than another crowded photo stop. Paths climb and loop through the hills, and the landscape feels more local than iconic, which can be exactly the point after you have seen the city's postcard sights.
