Eating Out

Nanning's food is one of its strongest arguments for staying more than a night. The city eats a cuisine that is neither properly Cantonese nor Sichuanese but something distinct — subtropical, sour-forward, and rice-noodle-centred. The signature dish, laoyoufen, is the thing to eat at breakfast; everything else follows from there.
