Hetou Old Street is a Tangshan leisure district built around old-town atmosphere, waterside paths, lights, and food stalls. It is more staged than ancient, but it gives visitors an easy evening destination beyond parks and museums.
Go after dark if you want the liveliest version, when the lighting and crowds do most of the work. It is best treated as a casual stroll and snack stop, not as a preserved historic quarter.
