Anyang Museum broadens the story of a city most visitors know through the Yin Ruins. Its displays cover regional archaeology, ceramics, inscriptions, and later local history, helping place the Shang capital in a longer Henan context.
It is best treated as a complement to Yinxu and the National Museum of Chinese Writing rather than a replacement for either. If you are spending more than a quick stop in Anyang, it gives the city a useful second layer.
