Enshi Longlin Palace is a karst cave scenic area close to Enshi, with illuminated chambers, underground water, and the kind of limestone formations that make western Hubei's landscape so dramatic. It is smaller than Enshi Grand Canyon, but easier to fit into a short city-based itinerary.
The experience is managed and lit for visitors, so do not expect wild caving. Go for a cool, weather-proof half-day excursion and for a closer look at the geology that underlies the gorges, sinkholes, and steep green hills around Enshi.
