Phoenix Mountain National Forest Park is a forested Danxia landscape close to Enshi, with red cliffs, gravel peaks, wooded slopes, and city views. The park is valued as an easy nature escape rather than a remote wilderness trip, and it makes a useful half-day stop if you want scenery without travelling as far as Enshi Grand Canyon.
Paths and viewpoints are the main draw; go in clear weather for the best views over the surrounding valleys.
