Wuxi has a metro system with several lines that connect the rail stations to the city centre and the Qingming Bridge historic district. Metro Line 4 is the most useful for visitors, connecting the city centre with the Binhu (Lakeside) District where the Taihu parks are located.
The lakeside parks — Turtle Head Isle, Li Garden, and the Sanshan Island ferry dock — are spread along the southern shore and are not all walkable from one another; taxis or metro are the practical option for moving between them. Cycle-hire stands are available near the main parks. The Qingming Bridge canal district is compact enough to explore entirely on foot. Taxis are metered and honest; Didi (Chinese ride-hailing) works throughout the city.
