Wuxi is on one of China's busiest high-speed rail corridors. High-speed trains from Shanghai take 35–45 minutes; from Nanjing, about 30 minutes; from Suzhou, under 15 minutes. There are two main rail stations: Wuxi Station (中心城区) in the city centre handles most services, while Wuxi East handles some additional routes. Check which station your train uses when booking.
Wuxi Shuofang International Airport handles domestic flights and some routes to nearby international destinations (Seoul, Osaka). The airport is about 20 kilometres east of the city centre and connected by airport bus. For most travelers arriving from within China, the train is faster and more convenient than flying.
