Wuxi's pleasures are primarily lakeside and waterborne. Lake Tai and its surrounding parks occupy the southern reaches of the city, while the old canal district clusters around the Qingming Bridge in the north. The classical gardens and the lake together represent the best of what Wuxi offers.
