Nanchang Changbei International Airport (KHN) handles domestic routes to all major Chinese cities and a handful of international connections to Southeast Asia. The airport is roughly 28 kilometers north of the city center; taxis and airport shuttles cover the route in 30 to 50 minutes depending on traffic.
Nanchang West Railway Station is the hub for high-speed rail, with frequent trains to Guangzhou (around 3 hours), Shanghai Hongqiao (3.5 hours), Changsha (1.5 hours), and Wuhan (1.5 hours). Nanchang Railway Station handles conventional intercity trains and is closer to the old city center. The city is well connected by rail and is a reasonable stopping point between the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River cities.
