Nanchang Botanical Garden

The Nanchang Botanical Garden (南昌植物园) in the northern part of the city maintains collections of subtropical and tropical plants, with a notable collection of orchids and a working greenhouse complex. It's a quieter alternative to the central parks and popular with early morning walkers from the surrounding residential areas. The rose garden peaks in April and May and draws weekend visitors specifically for the flowering season.

The garden is connected to Meiling National Park by trails and can be combined as a half-day outing from the city center. Admission is modest; early morning entry (before 8am) is often free or reduced.
