Anyuan Movie Studio is a reconstructed old-city film set near Pingxiang's coal-mining heritage sites. It is a deliberately artificial place, but that is part of the appeal: streets, storefronts, and period facades are arranged for film and television shoots rather than ordinary city life.
Visitors can usually walk through when no filming is under way. It works best as a short stop alongside the Anyuan Coal Mine Museum and Anyuan Workers' Club, especially if you are interested in how revolutionary history is staged for modern audiences.
