Pingxiang Museum gives the city a broad local-history stop, with exhibits on the area's environment, economy, culture, and past. The collection includes fossils, regional artefacts, and a few oddities, including fossilized dinosaur eggs and an unusually large mushroom specimen.
It is a useful first stop if you want context before heading to Pingxiang's revolutionary sites and older temples.
