Baoji's main draws are its Bronze Age heritage — the Bronzeware Museum holds the finest collection of Zhou dynasty bronze vessels outside Beijing — and the surrounding mountain and temple landscapes. The Famen Temple, with its Tang dynasty relic crypt, is the most visited site in the prefecture. Mount Taibai, the highest peak in the Qinling range, gives serious mountain walkers access to genuinely wild alpine terrain.
