Linfen's principal sights are outside the city itself: the Guangsheng Temple complex and its extraordinary Feihong Pagoda to the northeast, and the Yao Temple to the south. The city is best treated as a base for these sites and as a staging point for visiting the Hukou Waterfall to the west.
