The Tibet Museum of Natural Science is the region's main natural-history museum, covering Tibetan landscapes, geology, plants, and animals. It is a useful stop if you want context for the plateau before travelling farther into Tibet.
The museum also includes political history displays, so the tone is more official than neutral. For natural history, though, it fills a gap left by Lhasa's better-known religious and cultural sites.
