Lhasa's principal sights are its monasteries and palaces, but the city rewards slow exploration too. Walking the Barkhor circuit with the pilgrims, visiting the debating monks at Sera Monastery, or simply sitting in a Tibetan teahouse watching the world go by are as memorable as any monument.
