Laifengshan National Forest Park rises close to central Tengchong, giving the town an accessible green hill rather than another distant excursion. Paths climb through forest toward viewpoints, with the volcanic landscape and old border-town setting of western Yunnan spread out below.
It is a good balancing stop in Tengchong. Rehai and the volcanic fields show the region's geothermal drama; Laifengshan gives you shade, walking, and a quieter sense of the terrain that surrounds the town.
