District Archaeological Museum

The District Archaeological Museum in Nizamabad houses a collection of sculptures, inscriptions, coins, and artefacts from the surrounding region, spanning from the prehistoric period through the Kakatiya, Bahmani, and Nizam eras. The collection includes carved stone panels recovered from local temple sites, bronze figurines, and exhibits on the history of the Nizamabad district.

The museum is housed in a modest building near the city centre and is not large by the standards of the state museums in Hyderabad, but it provides useful context for visiting the fort and the temples. Admission is inexpensive and the museum is generally uncrowded.
