A river island in the Krishna, reached by boat from the barrage area. It is a popular local picnic spot with gardens and a modest resort run by Andhra Pradesh Tourism. The island is peaceful compared to the city — good for a couple of hours if you want to sit by the water. Boats run regularly from the jetty near the barrage.
