Tribal Museum

The Tribal Research and Training Institute museum documents the culture and daily life of the Adivasi communities of the Dang district — the Bhil, Warli, Gamit, and other groups who have inhabited these forests for centuries. The exhibits include traditional tools, ceremonial objects, musical instruments, and clothing, along with photographs and explanatory panels that give context absent from most of Gujarat's bigger museums.

The Warli paintings on display are worth particular attention: the distinctive white-on-ochre geometric figures depicting harvests, weddings, and forest hunts are among India's most recognisable tribal art forms, and the Dang region is one of their heartlands. The museum is small by national standards but well-maintained, and a visit before heading into the surrounding villages gives you a much richer sense of what you're looking at.
