Kurukshetra Panorama and Science Centre

360-degree cyclorama depicting the Mahabharata battle

A 360-degree cyclorama depicting the Mahabharata battle, installed in a drum-shaped building near the Brahma Sarovar. The painted panorama wraps the viewer inside a scene of the battle — chariots, armies, divine figures — while mannequins, battle sounds, and recorded narration fill in the story. The effect is populist and unabashedly dramatic, but it works as contextualisation: visitors who have read nothing about the Mahabharata before arriving leave with the shape of the story in their heads.

The attached science centre is aimed primarily at children and school groups. As a standalone attraction the panorama is worth the modest entry fee, especially if you are visiting Jyotisar the same day and want the narrative grounding first. Plan around thirty minutes.
