Mandi's Sunken Garden is an unusual public space in the centre of town, set several levels below the surrounding streets and ringed by a multi-level market. The site began as an old pond and now has a stupa, a clocktower, lawns, and benches.
It is not a major sight on its own, but it is one of the easiest places to get a feel for central Mandi and works well as a short stop between the town's temples and market streets.
