Patnitop rewards slow exploration. The plateau itself is the main attraction — wide meadows ringed by pine and deodar forest, with enough trekking routes to fill two or three days. In winter, a small ski area operates on the slopes above the plateau. Nathatop, 3 km further up, gives the best views. Sanasar, 20 km away, is the place for paragliding and the nine-hole golf course. Sudh Mahadev, the most important pilgrimage site in this part of Jammu, is a short drive in the other direction.
