Small museum within the Gol Gumbaz complex — Adil Shahi-era weapons, carpets, manuscripts

Address Within the Gol Gumbaz complex

A small but well-arranged museum housed in the original gatehouse of the Gol Gumbaz complex. The displays cover the Adil Shahi period — weapons, fragments of carpet, Persian manuscripts, coins, fragments of architectural sculpture rescued from ruined buildings around the city. There are also a few Hindu sculptures from earlier periods, predating the sultanate.

The entry ticket is included with admission to Gol Gumbaz. Captions are in English and Kannada. Allow thirty to forty minutes. Closed on Fridays.
