At the southern end of Tagore Beach, where the promenade meets Chaitanya Park, a cluster of stalls sells fresh sugarcane juice, lime soda, and coconut water. These are morning and afternoon operations — busy when people come to walk the beach early, and again in the early evening. The coconut water here is cold and cheap; the sugarcane juice, pressed to order, is the better drink on a hot afternoon.
