Gadi Darwaza

Gadi Darwaza is one of the old gateways on the northern approach to Mandu. The massive arched entrance stands east of Delhi Darwaza, with guard rooms and stonework that make the defensive scale of the hilltop city clear before you reach the palaces.

It is a quick stop, but a worthwhile one if you are entering Mandu by road and want to understand how the fortifications controlled access to the plateau.
