Ujala Baoli

Ujala Baoli is one of Mandu's most characterful stepwells, tucked among the northern ruins. It lacks the fame of the palaces, but its depth and geometry make it one of the better small stops for anyone interested in how the city worked.

Do not rush it. Stepwells reveal themselves slowly: stairs, shadow, water lines, and the cooling drop below the hot plateau surface.
