Hill Road is the main commercial artery of Bandra West, a dense strip of shops, restaurants, and bars that serves the neighbourhood's cosmopolitan population. The road and its surrounding lanes contain some of Mumbai's best casual dining — Bandra has long been associated with good food at accessible prices — alongside a mix of clothing boutiques, bookshops, and specialty stores.
The street is busiest in the evenings when Bandra's young residents fill the café terraces and restaurant queues. The area around St. Andrew's Church junction is particularly lively. Pali Village, a quieter enclave just off Hill Road, has developed a reputation for quality independent restaurants and is one of the better places in Mumbai for a relaxed dinner.
