Kas Plateau is a high laterite plateau known for its seasonal wildflowers and unusually rich plant life. The best reason to go is the monsoon and post-monsoon bloom, when the grassland fills with small flowers, orchids, and low shrubs across a landscape very different from the hill-station viewpoints around Panchgani.
